After the assault, the suspect quickly fled the scene, and authorities are actively searching for her whereabouts.
Witnesses reported that the incident began as a verbal altercation between the two women while the victim was waiting at the bus stop. Initially, the attacker left, but shortly afterward, just as the victim prepared to board the arriving bus, the assailant returned. Without warning, she seized the victim by her hair, forcefully pulling her to the ground before stabbing her repeatedly in the head. In a shocking display of aggression, the attacker continued her assault even as the victim lay defenseless on the pavement, delivering multiple blows to her face, head, and arms.
The violent nature of the assault left onlookers horrified, and footage of the attack shows the attacker holding the victim down while inflicting numerous stab wounds. Witnesses and bystanders at the scene could do little but call for emergency services as the assault unfolded.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) arrived quickly and provided immediate medical assistance before transporting the severely injured victim to Cuiabá Municipal Hospital. The Military Police also responded to the call and launched an investigation into the attack, although the suspect managed to flee in an unknown direction before authorities arrived.
