In the early hours of Thursday (31), a ride-hailing driver was fatally shot in front of a nightclub in Barreiras, a city located in the western region of Bahia. The incident, captured on security cameras, occurred along Avenida Castelo Branco in the Santa Luzia neighborhood, where the victim, identified as 27-year-old Davi Tuathan Peres Menezes, was parked. The footage reveals a chilling sequence of events as two masked men approached Menezes after stepping out of a car driven by a third individual. Without hesitation, they opened fire, taking Menezes’ life in a violent and targeted attack.
The Civil Police of Barreiras has since launched an investigation into the case, confirming that the assailants arrived equipped with a revolver and a machine gun, which they used to carry out the shooting. The brutal act occurred shortly after Menezes had reportedly completed a ride for a customer, dropping him off at the nightclub.
