A man was hospitalized after being shot during an attempted robbery at a Dollar General store in southwest Atlanta, according to police reports.

On November 4, officers responded to a call at the Dollar General located at 3509 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW, where they found a security guard suffering from gunshot wounds. The incident reportedly unfolded when two men entered the store and attempted to rob it. The security guard confronted the suspects, and, in response to his resistance, they shot him.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. While police have not yet released details on his condition, they continue to search for leads on the suspects involved.
