Antonio Edwardes has been named by social media users as the alleged shooter in a disturbing incident that took place at the Pink Apartments in Highland Hills, Dallas, TX.
Edwardes, 37, was arrested and booked in Dallas County on October 15 for reasons that remain unclear.
However, online users speculate that his arrest is connected to a murder that occurred in Highland Hills following a dispute over a phone. The entire incident was captured on video, which later went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
The graphic footage of the shooting, which took place in broad daylight, has drawn significant attention and concern from social media users.
In the video, two African American men can be seen arguing, with the victim heard pleading, “Give me her phone, man.” The shooter ignores him and fatally shoots the victim. The video spread widely on X with the caption: “This just happened in Dallas, Texas (Southside, Highland Hills area, apartments known as ‘The Pinks’). I used to live in these apartments.”
One viewer expressed disbelief at the senseless violence, commenting, “Wtf is wrong with people? It sounds like he said ‘give me my phone, man.’ You really want to go to jail for life over a phone? Dallas is different, I heard.”
