Prem, a 25-year-old resident of Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, faced hardships at every turn. In his struggle to raise funds for his mother’s medical treatment, he sought work tirelessly but found no opportunities. This constant failure, coupled with a deepening financial crisis, left Prem mentally distressed. Overwhelmed by his circumstances, he attempted suicide by leaping from a 65-foot-high water tank.
During his fall, Prem collided with a series of electric wires, which ultimately prevented what would have been a fatal impact with the ground. Although his attempt was desperate, this accidental encounter with the wires saved his life, sparing him from immediate death upon impact.
Those present at the scene quickly arranged for an ambulance and had the injured young man taken to the hospital. After receiving initial treatment, he was referred to a specialized facility in Bikaner. His condition remains critical.
