In a tragic incident that has left the community of Soacha, Cundinamarca, in shock, a contract killing claimed the life of a young father while he was walking down the street with his three-year-old daughter. The crime took place in the early evening on the Indumil road, near the northern entrance to the Compartir sector, located in the Ciudad de Quito neighborhood. Around 7:20 p.m., 29-year-old Jason Alexander González was targeted by an unidentified assailant in what authorities have confirmed as a deliberate and brutal act of violence.
According to a report from Ojo de la Noche for Mañanas Blu, González was out celebrating Halloween with his young daughter, who was excitedly asking for candy. Security camera footage reveals that he had just stepped out of a barbershop, holding sweets he had purchased for the evening. As he and his daughter moved to cross the street, an individual in a grey jumpsuit approached them. In an instant, the criminal fired three shots at González, killing him on the spot. His daughter was left standing beside him, confused and traumatized, as the perpetrator quickly fled the scene.
Witnesses describe the killer as having immediately escaped on a black Pulsar motorcycle, driven by an accomplice, heading toward central Soacha. The brutality of the attack, carried out in the presence of González’s young daughter, has intensified the community’s sense of outrage and sorrow. Authorities have responded by assigning a specialized task force to investigate the crime thoroughly. According to Colonel Correa, the deputy commander of the Soacha Police, this team is working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack, including the exact motives and identities of those involved.
Police are currently reviewing the security camera footage captured near the scene to track the movements of the two suspects after the killing. Initial leads indicate that the pair traveled back down the Indumil road toward the heart of Soacha. Investigators hope this footage will help them pinpoint where the suspects may have hidden and, ultimately, lead to their arrest.
Colonel Correa has assured the public that all available resources are being directed toward solving this case. “A special group has been activated to carry out investigative activities and determine the circumstances of the manner, time, and place,” he stated, adding that this coordinated effort aims to swiftly bring those responsible to justice. Soacha residents remain on edge as they await news of arrests, hoping this tragedy will be resolved and the individuals behind this horrific act held accountable.
