Authorities in Bogotá are working closely with Rappi to locate the delivery person who struck an elderly citizen with a helmet on the night of October 17, near Calle 127 and Carrera 14, close to the Unicentro shopping center.
In a statement, Rappi’s executives expressed their commitment to cooperating with the justice system and ongoing investigations to find the individual responsible for the incident, which left the victim in critical condition.
Rappi condemned the violent actions of the employee, clarifying that the individuals involved identified themselves as independent delivery personnel. They expressed their regret over the incident and extended their support to the victim and his family.
The company confirmed their collaboration with the Bogotá Metropolitan Police to help clarify the circumstances of the attack and ensure that those responsible face justice. They emphasized their firm stance against any form of violence or intolerance, stating that such actions contradict the principles that guide their mission and the values upheld by the thousands of delivery people using the “Soy Rappi” app daily.
