In Antalya, Kıvanç Şensöz (31) physically attacked florist Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı (29) after Yıldırıcı shared a photo of flowers featuring Şensöz’s foreign national wife, who is also a florist, on his social media account. Yıldırıcı is currently in serious condition at the hospital, while Şensöz has been arrested following the incident, which was captured on security cameras.
The altercation occurred around 7:00 PM on October 12 at a flower warehouse in the Altınova Neighborhood of Kepez district. Şensöz’s wife, a sports instructor and bodyguard at bars, operates various flower-selling accounts on social media. Meanwhile, Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, along with his sister Firdevs Yıldırıcı (25) and their father Muhammet Yıldırıcı (60), has been working as florists in the area for years, posting photos of flowers and bouquets for sale on their own social media accounts.
Recently, Firdevs Yıldırıcı shared a screenshot of a flower photo, which prompted Kıvanç Şensöz to react angrily, accusing Yıldırıcı of being a “thief of labor” for sharing an image of his wife without permission.
Firdevs Yıldırıcı apologized for a photo that had been blurred and cropped, claiming it was a mistake.
Kıvanç Şensöz, seeking a face-to-face apology from Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, visited the flower warehouse. When Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı arrived to apologize, Şensöz unexpectedly punched him to the ground. He then kicked Yıldırıcı repeatedly before being restrained by his uncle, Ali Okur.
Emergency services were called to the scene for Yıldırıcı, who was unable to get up. The medical team, arriving shortly after, transported the unconscious Yıldırıcı to Kepez State Hospital. Tragically, Yıldırıcı was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage and was in critical condition.
Kıvanç Şensöz was subsequently taken into custody and arrested by the court.
