A man was fatally shot at a nightclub on Avenida Mauro Ramos in downtown Florianópolis early Tuesday morning, October 8. According to the Military Police (PM), the victim was a patron, and the shooting occurred following a dispute with security guards.
The incident unfolded around 6 AM when tensions escalated over a disagreement regarding the price of an order, leading to a physical altercation. “A fight broke out, and some individuals assaulted a security guard. A police officer present intervened to defend the guard and fired a shot, resulting in the man’s death,” explained Lieutenant Colonel André Rodrigo Serafin, commander of the 4th Battalion.
The Civil Police are conducting an investigation into the matter, including interviews with the police officer who reported to the station immediately after the incident.
