Tik Tok Star And Influencer Denisse Reyes Suffers Cardiac Arrest & Dies During Cosmetic Surgery Procedure

Denisse Reyes, a popular influencer and single mother, has tragically passed away just days after undergoing a cosmetic procedure in Mexico. Her family announced that her health rapidly deteriorated following a liposuction surgery, leaving her in intensive care.

The 27-year-old succumbed to a fatal cardiac arrest just three days after the operation, which was performed on January 26 at San Pablo Medical Clinic in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. According to her family, the procedure was conducted by an unauthorized surgeon, Dr. Orlando Gamboa.

Denisse’s uncle, Ammao Rodríguez, revealed that she had an adverse reaction to intravenous medication administered post-surgery, her heart stopped beating shortly after the procedure due to this reaction.

While in recovery, Denisse suffered cardiac arrest, and doctors described her condition as “delicate.” She was quickly transferred to Manzur Hospital and placed in intensive care.

The family’s lawyer, speaking to Infobae Mexico, stated that Dr. Gamboa arranged the transfer because the clinic allegedly lacked the necessary equipment for her care. “He moved her to Mansur High Specialty Solutions Hospital, claiming they did not have an intensive care unit,” the attorney explained.

Despite efforts to stabilize her, Denisse’s condition worsened, and she passed away on January 29.

Her sister, Massiel Reyes, shared an emotional tribute, saying, “The day I said goodbye to you, I hugged you and told you, ‘See you in Tampico.’ I didn’t want to let you go. I ask for respect for my mother’s and nephew Matías’ pain.”

Legal action is now being pursued against Dr. Gamboa and any other parties found responsible for Denisse’s death. “We will proceed against the doctor and anyone accountable,” the family’s attorney stated, adding that they are in contact with the Chiapas Ministry of Health.

Her uncle urged authorities to deliver justice. “It’s not fair that she was recovering, and suddenly her condition worsened to the point of death. The doctor must be held accountable.”

Denisse’s family and friends are now raising awareness about the risks of undergoing cosmetic procedures at unregulated clinics.

No official statement has been issued by medical authorities regarding the accusations, and Dr. Gamboa has not made any public comments. He was previously accused of responsibility in another patient’s death following a liposuction procedure in December 2024, which he strongly denied.
