A video circulating on social media shows a man being swept away by a stream in Catemaco, Veracruz, where heavy rains have caused widespread flooding.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, October 20, in La Victoria de Catemaco. The man fell into a stream that had swollen nearly to the level of a small concrete bridge due to the recent downpour. In the video, local residents can be seen watching as he clung to the bridge to avoid being swept away.
Unfortunately, the strength of the current overwhelmed him, and he lost his grip, disappearing into the muddy waters below. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light gray shirt and a dark gray cap. Authorities are currently conducting a search operation, but the man’s identity has not yet been determined.

After an extensive search conducted by emergency and relief teams, the lifeless body of Rodrigo was discovered this Monday. He was the young man who had been swept away by a stream in La Victoria.
Forensic experts were dispatched to the scene to retrieve the body and transport it to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo).
Rodrigo was known for his work in shoe-making and agriculture, and it has been reported that he will be laid to rest in his hometown.
